Showers will occur at times in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces. Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere on the island after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and the Galle and Matara districts in the morning.
Meanwhile, showers will occur at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mullaitivu to Pottuvil via Trincomalee and Batticaloa. Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere in the sea areas around the island during the afternoon or night.
Winds will be north-easterly to easterly and wind speed will be 20-30 kmph. Wind speed may increase up to 40 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Galle to Hambantota via Matara.
