Two People have been arrested during a special operation carried out by the STF, along with 750g of ICE (Methamphetamine) and 1 Kg of Heroin, Police Spokesperson Ajith Rohana said.
One of the suspects has been arrested yesterday (26th) from Ragama along with the 750g of ICE.
Police have also seized over 1.5 Million cash in possession with the suspect. Following further questioning from the apprehended suspect, another female suspect from Dehiwala has been arrested along with the 1kg haul of Heroin.
Police Spokesperson further said that the Arrested individuals have been handed over to the Police Narcotics bureau for further investigations.
Meanwhile, another 3 suspects have been arrested from Kotahena with 43g of ICE. The STF have detained the vehicle they were travelling along with 4 mobile phones. Suspects are from Jampettah street Colombo 13 and Wellampitiya. (NewsWire)
