Yohani releases debut English song, responds to allegations

Sri Lankan artist Yohani de Silva has released her debut English original single ‘Moving on” with a Sinhala rap.

Speaking to Lahiru Mudalige of Hari TV, the singer who made international headlines with her hit single “Menike mage hithe” revealed more details on her new song.

Yohani revealed that her new song has been released in partnership with Redbull Records, which is the first time in Sri Lanka for such a collaboration and a global release.

Stating that the song mainly implies moving on from a breakup or relationship, she said according to her, it means moving on from any situation in life.

The singer also addressed all the recent fake news and controversy surrounding her that had made the rounds in the last few months.

Yohani also responded to the recent allegations levelled against her by a leading former diplomat, claiming that she was a conspiracy set up by an intelligence agency.

Responding to all allegations, she called on the public and media ferefrain from sharing fake news and to instead verify the facts before publishing reports. (NewsWire)
